Payton... the sweetest little thing...

This is Payton.. she was a bit upset at first but she calmed down and we got some beautiful photos of her.
I love doing newborns.. they are so unpredictable and we just take our time and wait for them to decide when they are ready... it's always worth the wait.. See what I mean HOW ADORABLE!!!
Isn't she a beautiful baby?

Preslie & Cayzen

My daughter wanted some professional candid photos done so that she could have some canvases.

These are what we came up with.

Bella and her big sister Macey

Okay this is Bella and Macey..
I have done Macey several times but this was Bella's first.. (okay technically she had her pictures done when she was still waiting to come into the world.)
Anyway.. the girls did GREAT!!
They were both so good..
Macey even in her silliness did a great job being a big sister...
and look at that sweet face of Bella's...
I feel so blessed to be able to take photos of these girls..
Love you guys!

cross country trip - first destination IOWA grandbabies

so now on to the Grandbabies..
I was so happy to see them... every single morning they would run downstairs... climb in bed with me and we would just lay there and talk... about silly things that 2 and 4 years old like to talk about..
so of course.. I took photos of them...  I am posting my two fav 'fun' ones...  I call these my 'bike' gang..
Let me explain the headbands.. my daughter got a package in the mail... I took some of the packing paper and wrapped it around my head like a headband.. of course.. they each had to have one too..
Cayzen is learning to write his name and he informed me that I wrote his name wrong because I used all caps.
He is too smart for his own good...  Preslie.. well she looks like she could beat you up... what can I say.. love these kiddos.

cross country trip - first destination IOWA photo shoot

but... part of the reason I went up there was to do a photo shoot that my daughter lined up for me.

I met the Nunes family when I was up there last time.  They own a dairy farm and they wanted photos of the children/grandchildren at the farm.. so that's what we did.. The girls ARE SO CUTE and so funny... quite the characters...   they made it so easy .. and we had a really good time!    Here are a couple of photos of the girls.  I can't help but smile every time I see them..

cross country trip - first destination IOWA

So my first destination was Iowa to see my daughter and my grandbabies... they recently moved there and opened a diner/drive-in.  They are doing great but it's hard to know they live so far away..

But here are a couple of shots of their place.

Catching up AGAIN.... cross country trip (first leg)

.. okay ONE day I will not have to call my posts Catching up.

So I have lots to catch up on where do I begin..
I just got back not two weeks ago from a whirl wind trip DRIVING by myself across the country.
For the first leg of my journey - I started here in Florida... drove through Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri and finally landing in northwest IOWA to see my GRANDBABIES that I have missed so very much!!!
Along the way though I stopped in Tennesse and did a Zipline through some trees.. but they would not let me take my camera to take photos or video along the way.. ugh!  But they assured me they take photos of you and I could purchase at the end of the zip line.. so what happens... their camera broke so NO photos of me doing the zipline.. I was like.. WHAT.. no one is ever going to believe I did this.... but honestly I really did.

ON day two of my journey to Iowa I stopped at the St Louis Arch...  AWESOME!  I have to tell you that the last time I was there I was VERY young and they were bldg it..  (okay aging myself but whatever)
It was really nice seeing it up close and personal and complete ..  So the Arch was great but what was really great... was fate intervened and I met these fantabulous women.. they are a bunch of scrapbookers from all over the country that meet once a year in a different city.  THEY WERE SO MUCH FUN!  They wanted me to spend the day with them but I was on a mission of driving.. I gave them all my card and asked them to keep in touch.  I took photos of them with each of their cameras... that was hilarious..all these women and all these camera.. but I loved it!  This photo that I have here is them laying down taking a photo of the arch right after I did it.. it was so funny.. they were also gracious enough to take a photo of me by the arch right before I left.. it was grey and it rained a bit .. although as you can see the sun did try to peek out as I was leaving but it was still beautiful.. thanks ladies for a fun break from my crazy driving...  :)
